Is there a charge for estimates?
Lawn care service and landscape estimates are free. However, we do charge for our landscape design service. An estimate is something specific that you tell us you want, while a design is something we create. We will be happy to provide you with an estimate for the cost of design work.

Do estimates accurately reflect the final cost of the project?
Yes. Our estimates reflect the final cost of a project designed and installed or lawn care service. Any changes to the original design may include an additional charge and will require a change order that includes the new cost estimate.

Can we get estimates in writing?
Yes. Rockhill Lawn Care uses contracts and change orders for all of its work including mowing services so there are no unexpected charges.

Do I have to put a deposit down before work begins?
Typically, our landscape contracts call for 30% deposit with the signed contract, 20% due upon delivery of materials and the balance due upon completion. Single day projects may require 50% deposit with the balance due upon completion.

Is Rockhill Lawn Care insured?
Yes. We carry General Liability, Workman's Compensation, and Vehicle Coverage. We will be happy to provide you with our coverage information upon request.

When can we plant?
We install plants in spring through fall. Although spring is the most requested time, Fall is the by far a better time for the health of the plants.

How long will the work take?
It depends. (Has a contractor ever answered anything else to this question?) We can usually provide you with a realistic completion timeline. However, because variables such as the weather and hidden obstructions below grade level, sometimes delays happen.

How soon can we begin?
This will depend on a number of variables, expected weather conditions, availability of supplies (i.e. plant material, specialty blocks, special order fences), unexpected delays on other projects. However, we can typically give you a projected start date that is within a few days of the actual start date.

Do you offer guarantees?
Guarantees vary by project and materials. All guarantees will be provided within the estimate/contract based on the project.

Do you guarantee your plants?
Yes. We guarantee all stock to me true to name and in good healthy condition. Our guarantees are typically for one year. Complete guarantee information is provided with the estimate. Any exceptions will be noted on the estimate.
